OUR JOURNEY

Astrobiome was founded in 2021 at Dubai Science Park as a biotechnology startup committed to advancing the scientific frontier of microbiome evolution in space. Our work supports researchers and institutions exploring how microbial life responds to extreme environments—with the goal of creating meaningful impact across health, longevity, and environmental sustainability.

As long-duration space travel becomes a reality, maintaining human health in space is a growing challenge. Astronauts endure continuous stress and radiation—conditions that also affect microbial ecosystems. Just as humans must adapt, so too must the microbiome. Astrobiome studies this parallel evolution to unlock solutions for future human survival in space and on Earth.

OUR PURPOSE

Our purpose is to accelerate the evolution of microbiome-based solutions and translate them into practical innovations that enhance resilience, health, and longevity. We use space not only as a research environment, but as a catalyst for scientific breakthroughs that serve life on Earth.

“Necessity was always the mother of inventions to evolve humans race, with space mission it add the element of hope of discovery”

Astrobiome develops microbial technologies evolved under extreme space conditions, translating them into data-backed solutions for the life sciences. Our research spans fields such as microbial aging, mitochondrial function, and epigenetic response—supporting the development of advanced bioactives, therapeutics, and sustainable agricultural tools.

“Using our microbiome biotech platform to solve challenges created by hostile environment unique to space, and apply it to solve health challenges humans experience on earth”
