THE WORLD'S FIRST
MICROBIOME EVOLUTION
PROJECT IN SPACE
Pioneering the first bioscience mission to evolve microbial life in space and apply it to health, longevity, and environmental solutions.

UNLOCKING THE SECRETS OF MICROBIOTA IN SPACE
Astrobiome’s is a groundbreaking scientific initiative exploring how extreme environments, like outer space, shape the human microbiome.
Our mission aims to advance microbiome science by sending carefully selected bacteria into space, observing their adaptive evolution, and applying these findings for use in health research, environmental resilience, and applied biotechnology.

Unlocking Microbial Potential Through a Three-Phase Scientific Journey
The Human Biome Mission unfolds in three integrated phases, each designed to unlock the hidden potential of microbiota through exposure to space. From careful isolation to extreme environmental testing and real-world application, this mission pioneers a completely new direction in microbiome science.
ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF MICROBIOTA
Our research begins by identifying naturally occurring microorganisms from the human body and natural ecosystems. These microbes are analyzed for their adaptive capacity and biological value—making them prime candidates for further evolution and applied use.

EXPOSURE TO SPACE AND EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS
Microbial adaptation is one of nature’s most powerful forces—space serves as the ultimate accelerator.
In February 2025, selected strains will be embedded in custom carriers and launched to the International Space Station (ISS) for a 30-day exposure period. This environment drives rapid adaptation and evolution under high radiation and microgravity.
MICROBIOME INNOVATION BEGINS IN SPACE
The final phase focuses on translating scientific results into meaningful real-world applications. Through comprehensive profiling and safety validation, space-evolved microbiota may be applied in fields such as probiotic therapeutics, biomaterials, agriculture, and environmental biotechnology, unlocking new possibilities for life on Earth and beyond.

A GLOBAL ECOSYSTEM OF SCIENTIFIC EXCELLENCE
Astrobiome collaborates with world-renowned scientific institutions to lead research at the intersection of space biology, microbial evolution, and health innovation. From mitochondrial biology in Paris to space physiology in Moscow and cellular imaging in Spain, our network fuels breakthrough science and next-generation discovery.

WHERE THE FUTURE IF HUMAN HEALTH BEGINS
Astrobiome is creating a new path for microbiome science, using space as a lens to understand and improve life on Earth. We welcome collaboration from researchers, institutions, and development partners.
